Lyda Gardiner is a respected informatics leader with a proven track record of spearheading strategic change to realize the full benefits of EHR enabled systems.  Employing proven methodologies such as Continuous Quality Improvement and innovative approaches such as the development of Quality Informatics roles (taking Informatics to the next level), Lyda empowers leaders and teams to develop capabilities and solutions that position organizations to successfully utilize the EHR to meet the changing challenges of healthcare such as Meaningful Use, Value Based Purchasing, and Accountable Care Organizations.  Drawing on a strong clinical nursing foundation, deep knowledge of healthcare systems and quality methodologies, coupled with a research/science and education background Lyda effectively creates solutions that combine operational effectiveness with knowledge and information to ensure effective outcomes and realization of strategic goals and objectives.  

Lyda is experienced with MEDITECH clinical applications and a variety of other related clinical Healthcare Information  Systems and processes, has deep expertise in optimizing clinical information flow, and has helped to design and lead projects that serve the needs of 5,000+ nurses while advancing the cause of quality health care.  Lyda is currently providing advisory services focused on using the EHR to improve performance in preparation for new healthcare models with a number of clients.  Before joining Jacobus, Lyda served as the Director of Clinical Informatics & User Support Network -2005-2009 for a 12 hospital healthcare system.   As a consultant, Lyda also  plans and implements Meaningful Use MEDITECH solutions,  overall development of  EHR and data strategies to support clinical and system performance and reporting excellence, Advanced Clinicals, E-Mar projects, ARRA Readiness Assessments, and Case Management/ Utilization Review.
