Thomas Glodek, MD
Dr. Glodek serves as the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Jacobus Consulting. Acting in the role as physician advisor, Dr. Glodek provides insight, clinical expertise and thought leadership on the design, implementation, education and adoption of EMR’s, Advanced Clinical Systems, Advanced Physician Systems, Clinical Decision Support, Workflow Redesign and various other clinical health information and revenue cycle initiatives. Dr.Glodek is responsible for setting vision and strategy for aligning physician engagement and the strategic initiatives of the organization, and the IT business goals while complying with regulatory mandates to deliver quality health care.
Dr. Glodek is an accomplished Physician Informaticist who is experienced in designing, developing, and implementing clinical systems and Electronic Health Record software for physicians and hospitals. He successfully served as an integral member of a Clinical Innovations Team at a large Western US healthcare system and Integrated Delivery Network which provided recommendations on quality of care issues, documentation standardization, compliance with Meaningful Use requirements, planning for Patient Centered Medical Home and ACO strategies, implementation of Patient Portal Services, and much more.
Dr. Glodek also had a long career in direct patient care as a practicing OB/GYN physician and surgeon as well as the hospital Physician Director of the Birthing Unit. Dr. Glodek has also completed extensive Post Graduate Studies in Healthcare Informatics, and is a candidate for the Newly Recognized AMBS Board Specialty of Clinical Informatics.
